The Transformation Project

The Transformation Project

We interviewed 10 Westporters about their experiences with personal change, created a short film, audio pieces, an interactive exhibit on permanent display at the Westport Library, and held a storytelling event where some of the narrators told their stories live, and some chose to have their audio piece played while accompanied by an interpretive music or dance performance.

Class of 2020: Graduating in the Time of Corona Oral History Project.

These interviews are recording and preserving the voices and stories of the Class of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences and perspective are important – not just for their classmates and our community now - but to document for the future. This is such a transitional time in graduates lives, happening during a moment of incredible upheaval and disruption in our town, the country and the world. This project does the vital work of capturing how high school seniors are experiencing all of this. The project concludes with an online archives at westportvoices.com and a short documentary film in tribute to the Class of 2020.
